When I was a little girl trying to figure out who I was and what I wanted to do, my dream was to become a sports photographer and a professional softball player ( I was a bit of a tomboy and “jock-ette”). A few years passed, and that dream soon changed and I just wanted to be a photographer, a photographer of beautiful things, portraits, fashion and love. That love of photography never left my blood, now I just want to photograph, food and beautiful things. I, like so many other people have been influenced and awed by the amazing Annie Leibovitz. Her portraits are breathtaking and I can literally just scroll for hours upon hours looking at her work. She is my inspiration this week (and really for the rest of my life).
“One doesn’t stop seeing. One doesn’t stop framing. It doesn’t turn off and turn on. It’s on all the time.” – Annie Leibovitz
“You don’t have to sort of enhance reality. There is nothing stranger than truth.” – Annie Leibovitz
“I wish that all of nature’s magnificence, the emotion of the land, the living energy of place could be photographed.” – Annie Leibovitz
Choosing which photos to share was probably the biggest challenge I faced today…just kidding, bills are due, ha. The people in these photos that I chose to share are people and are actions that have influenced me in my life. Dancing, Meryl, Drew, Bruce. They are me. They are my loves.
